“Never putt off till tomorrow what you can do today”, Morgane Sézalory creator of Sézane well understood this quote and made it one of her course of action, supporting projects which matter a lot to her and which are meaningful with respect to her history. In this beginning of the year, Sézane blows its fifth candle and looks toward the future launching the project “Demain” to support child-related causes. To give a future to children whose perspectives are unfairly limited, that is the mission that Sézane gave to itself launching this solidary program. The goal? Raise 1 billion euros in 2018 supporting concrete actions in favour of the access to education, the culture and the fight for equal opportunities. To fill up this piggybank, the creator has launched “l’Appel du 21”, with the creation of a special piece available all the 21st of the month, whose profit – as well as 10% of the turnover of the day, are transferred to associations such as La Voix des Enfants, the Académie Football Paris 18, Dessine-moi un mouton or even Double horizon. Close to Clothes which works with Sézane since a long time, encourages this initiative and encourages you to support the cause buying one of its creations “Demain”. For its Autumn-Winter 2018-19 fashion show, Alexandre Mattiussi creator of the brand AMI, invited its audience to live a midnight ride on the roofs of Paris. Max Richter’s music in background, the show starts with a young couple of models who escapes from a skylight. Hand-in-hand, the two lovers walk around and go away to let the show begin. Long coats on the shoulders and hands in the pockets, striped shirts put on a turtleneck, pleated pants and white tennis at the feet, the AMI looks are at once elegant and casual. The fantasy ends up with the apparition of five young girls who present the first creations for women, or rather “the man for women” as the creator explains. Close to Clothes, which accompany the brand AMI, is excited to find those beautiful basics (a camel coat, an oversize tuxedo, a leather and sheepskin jacket, a long coat and an XXL turtleneck) which will be sold exclusively in the AMI shop Rue de Grenelle. Everything you need to refine a genderless look...
The tourists were hoping for it, the Parisians were demanding it, the City of Paris did it! By creating the label "Made in Paris", it is a global demand that finds an answer: put on the front of the stage products made in the capital that embody its identity and traditions! A mission, not least, which took place in several times. First of all, a call for applications has been launched. This was followed by a selection of 234 projects, all submitted to the vote of the Parisians. The experiment ended on December 18 with the announcement of the finalists at a ceremony held in the salons of the City Hall. In total, the 15 laureates of the 5 categories presented (crafts and creation, food crafts, production activities and "innovation" awards, Parisian favorites) were rewarded. This place on the podium will allow them to acquire a new visibility, a professional recognition in their field but also a pledge of quality that they can integrate into their communication. Close To Clothes supports this initiative, which promotes local and qualitative consumption.

For some time, luxury brands have shunned divas creators and prefer to surround themselves with talented young designers still unknown to the general public. In January 2015, Gucci tried the experiment with Alessandro Michele and the success was there. The tempo was given and the luxury industry was quick to keep up. Could this be the new makeover of fashion houses? Part of it, of course, because brands are also embracing changes in our society and adapting to new ways of working ... Exit individualistic creators and their quirks of stars and place to work as a team. The economic reason also played its role in previous seasons as instability did not encourage brands to pay the considerable salaries of star creators. Especially if young shoots were able to meet the same challenges and blow a breath of fresh air on the collections. Big names against newcomers? We will see who will be best in the future ...
It all started in 2007! Six gentlemen create the blog "Bonne Gueule" to reconcile men with the world of fashion and give them stylistic advice. A project that Close To Clothes has been supporting since birth with bespoke labeling. Today "Bonne Gueule" is serving 4 million users, a lucky number? It would seem because the brand has just opened its 4th store at 15 rue Commines in Paris. This new space offers a range of 80 ready-to-wear references, accessories and a lounge area dedicated to fashion advice. Opposite, at number 14, the first shop has been redesigned to become a new area of local services, a real concierge dedicated exclusively to you gentlemen! With a range of services in a single space, the brand saves you time: laundry, shoe repair, retouching clothes and cleaning sneakers ... everything is there! Generous, "Bonne Gueule" also offers its customers the opportunity to enjoy a free hour of personalized advice. You now have all the good reasons to have a "Bonne Gueule"!
We know how searching for a new handbag is an uncertain and sometimes unsuccessful quest. Is not it ? Clasp in bowtie, names of children (those of the creators), everything reminds the universe full of sweetness and tenderness of the Parisian brand. Between Elsa, Jeanne, Max or Lucas, we are sure you will find your happiness.

The interior designer Sarah Lavoine, whom you already know (perhaps) for her collaborations with Swildens or Sézane, reaffirms that fashion is part of her range of talents. Its eponymous lifestyle-oriented brand thus welcomes guests like Trémoulière but also pieces imagined by itself. This spring, these are t-shirts and sweatshirts with unpublished message that join the dressing room of the designer. To admire them among other scarves, boots or slippers, go to his flagship Place des Victoires or on her e-shop. You may also crack for her furniture brand, who knows?
The denim trends of tomorrow met at Denim Première Vision at the end of April. The industry specialists who were present at the show clearly showed the technological shift already begun by the creators and manufacturers. Innovations that affect both the creative processes and the finished products. On the one hand, new software for style offices is being introduced to measure the consumption of natural resources and to automate the creation process. This is a way of restoring the image of the industry whose eco-responsibility is often questioned and boosting its creativity. On the other hand, connected clothes offer new experiences to consumers: massaging jackets with integrated solar panel, unusual places hidden in a scan on the pieces, GPS technologies ... your denims will soon surprise you. In the midst of the specialists, Close To CLothes was also present to present his badges, essential to customize his indigo pieces. See you soon on the next edition for more innovations.

Who says denim says labeling because there is no " toile de Nîmes" without its characteristics of authentication nor atypical details. That's why Close To Clothes will naturally be present at the Denim Première Vision show. The international fair of the denim industry. In a stand with an exceptional design, to welcome you with style, we propose you a unique workshop. Not less than 158 million euros. This is the amount LVMH is investing in a place that promotes crafts. The aim is to introduce these crafts to a wide audience, especially young people, in order to create vocations. The jewel of this enormous project will be no less than the former Museum of Popular Arts and Traditions, a building glued to the Vuitton Foundation on the edge of the Bois de Boulogne which will be completely renovated by the famous architect Frank Ghery. RDV in 2 to 3 years (work required) to discover this new place already baptized "Maison LVMH - Arts, Talents, Patrimoine" where concerts or exhibitions will take place, and ... Little known by the general public but very well by people from the fashion industry, Natacha Ramsay-Levi took office at Chloé! Congratulations to the one who receives praise from the fashion world for her loyalty and charismatic personality. It must be said that after 11 years at Balenciaga and 4 years alongside Nicolas Ghesquière at Louis Vuitton it displays a more stable course than most of its counterparts. The Maison Chloé can therefore rejoice in this recruitment to a key position: creative director for ready-to-wear, leather goods and accessories. The 30-year-old French designer succeeds Claire Waight Keller and will present her first collection for Chloé at the next fashion week Spring-Summer 2018, in September.
